Former student athlete of Progressive Christian Academy, Gus Gilchrist, played in the Washington DC Capital Classic All-Star Game and was voted Most Valuable Player after scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. "At game's end, after scoring 24 points and grabbing nine rebounds, Gilchrist was smiling again as he collected a basketball to commemorate winning most valuable player honors after leading the Capital All-Stars to a 149-145 victory over the U.S. All-Stars before 3,127 at Comcast Center."
