READING: A Beka is used as the foundation of the phonetic instruction. Emphasis is placed on producing reading for comprehension while encouraging Christian growth and a love for reading. Included in this curriculum is character building stories which teach doctrinal truths, vocabulary development and critical thinking.

MATH: A Beka Curriculum is used to provide mastery of basic math facts and emphasizes computation skills. The curriculum also balances problem solving, manipulative, math application, and extensive review.

SOCIAL STUDIES: A Beka Curriculum teaches God’s plan for the family; concepts of government, geography, and community. It presents America’s Godly heritage and includes Geography, United States and World History.

ENGLISH: A Beka Curriculum is used to promote clear and effective oral and written communication. Emphasis is placed on grammar skills such as identifying parts of speech and correct verb usage. Creative writing includes composing expository writings, narratives, poetry, and other forms of literary genre.

SCIENCE: A Beka Curriculum presents God as the Creator and sustainer of all things using an action-oriented, hands-on approach to develop scientific thinking over a broad base of scientific topics. It incorporates scripture-based background material.

SPELLING: ACSI Curriculum, produced by the Association of Schools International provides weekly spelling lists based upon phonetic skills. Higher grades use Abeka Spelling and vocabulary.

BIBLE: The ACSI Curriculum is used to provide daily lessons on both Old Testament and New Testament writing emphasizing the need to make Biblical choices in life. Memory work is given on a weekly basis.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION: There are thirty minutes of daily outdoor playtime or indoor physical games if weather mandates. Weekly instruction in physical education is provided during a structured P.E. period for each grade level.

COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY: We have an up to date computer lab for instruction. Students K thru 8th grade use the computer lab to learn to use Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel. Keyboarding is also stressed. Skills are developed beginning at K3.
